Faith began at SCYM in 2005 after six years working in church youth ministry.
What Faith loves about SCYM: Partnering with the Church, helping people use their passions and gifts, and serving kids where the need is great and the opportunities even greater.
Likes to: Hang out with husband Keith, daughter Ada and new little guy Willem, watch sports, beat people at Boggle.
Aspires to: One day develop a real hobby.
Jeff Nelson, Associate Director
Jeff came to SCYM after working with street kids in Brazil for eight and a half years. He ran relief and developed programs for street children, as well as after-school programs for at-risk kids.
What Jeff loves about SCYM: Working with local churches and schools to mentor children and their families.
Likes to: Bike everywhere; spend time with his wife and best friend, Tiffany, and four kids: Caleb (12), Michaela (10), Josh (8), and Samuel (6); play guitar and talk for hours.
Aspires to: Partner with more churches and schools to start new STARS programs and be a member of a kickin' praise band.
Emily served with Young Life before coming to SCYM.

Maureen came to SCYM after graduating from Wittenberg University last May. She is excited to live in and learn about the Springfield community.
What Maureen loves about SCYM: the opportunity to change kids' lives in a faith based way.
Likes to: sing, hum, and listen to music, preferably country or show tunes. She also loves playing soccer, telling jokes, eating hot dogs, and John Deere tractors.
Aspires to: own her own theater someday.

Tim came to SCYM after graduating from Cedarville University in May of 2009, where he directed a student-led organization that focused on educating the campus on issues concerning urban poverty.
What Tim loves about SCYM: the opportunity to meet and partner with many of the people doing great things in Springfield.
Likes to: Read, write, garden, chit-chat, and watch football.
Aspires to: be a good neighbor, a better gardener, and maybe write a book someday.
